A simple, secure, community based bank alternative to borrowing money in Old Trafford, Manchester.  It is owned and run by its members so they have your best interest at heart. Some members of St Brides helped set up the credit union.

If you live in the Trafford ‘Common Bond’ area you are welcome to join; this includes Old Trafford, the rest of the Trafford Council area, plus Whalley Range and the St George’s area of Hulme.  It costs just £2 to join and you can deposit as much as you like each week, they just ask a minimum of 50p a week. Once you have been saving for a few months, loans of 2 or 3 times your share amount can be taken out at a low rate interest – on the reducing balance. Members are also entitled to other benefits (click the link below for details).

The main offices and a collection centre are right next to St Bride’s Worship Centre – at the Shrewsbury Street Community Centre.
